About Optional Enrollment

Percy Priest Elementary is categorized as an Optional Enrollment school, meaning that students who do not live in the Percy Priest school zone can apply for admission through a lottery, administered each year by the Metro Nashville Public School System. Optional Enrollment schools are for grades K-4. Students living within the school zone have the first choice in enrolling in these schools. Students living outside the zone but in Davidson County must apply through the lottery and be placed on a wait list for space available.

Admission forms are available at the MNPS office, located at 2601 Bransford Avenue. You can reach them by phone at 615-259-INFO (4636). Application deadline is normally in the fall before the year you wish for your child to attend school.
