Hurray! Homework Hotline opens Monday, August 16
Last year, Homework Hotline answered 24,118 calls from struggling middle-Tennessee students in grades K - 12. That's 4.32 times more calls, or an increase of 432%, from the first year Hotline was open in 1990.
Want to know how we figured that out? Call the Hotline Monday through Thursdays between 4 and 8 p.m. Students or their confused parents will talk to a qualified teacher who can help find ways to get through the tough stuff.
And we don't just do math. We help with language arts, science, social studies, history, foreign languages and more.
Homework help is available in seven languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Kurdish, Swahili, Creole, and returning this year, Somalian.
What is the Hotline? Homework Hotline provides one-on-one free tutoring by phone to Middle Tennessee students and parents. With Homework Hotline, students tackle new concepts, complete challenging assignments, and gain academic skills.
Homework Hotline helps students achieve and thrive - one assignment at a time. Students who get the help they seek return to school better prepared and less discouraged. Since 1990, Hotline teachers and volunteers have answered more than 375,000 calls. Bilingual assistance is available in seven languages: English, Arabic, Kurdish, Spanish, Somalian, Swahili, and Turkmani. It's all free - thanks to Dell, AT&T, TriStar Health System, Metro Schools, Sonic Drive Ins, the Scarlett Foundation, and MyTV 30/CW 58/Fox 17.
