It’s been a wild but great week here in Fourth Grade and we’re looking forward to the week ahead!
Coming Up…
Valentine’s Day
Our Valentine’s Parties are right around the corner! We are planning to celebrate with our classes on Tuesday, February 14 at 12:30. Parents are welcome to join! Your child’s class list was sent home to help with addressing Valentine’s cards. Also included were details for our Fourth Grade Valentine’s Box Contest. If students wish to participate, they will choose one of the three categories to participate in. We are looking forward to celebrating with our SWEET classes!

Writing: We will finish typing the final draft our narrative Mountain Survival essays.

Social Studies:
Studies Weekly 21: The Antebellum South; Test: Friday, 2/10/23
Math:
This Week’s Focus: We are continuing our unit on angles and angle measurement! This week, we will be attending to precision as we work with protractors to measure angles. Keep practicing math facts! We will continue to review contextual problems using all four operations. Please encourage your children to keep up their practice with basic multiplication and division facts!
-Homework will be sent home Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and needs to be returned the following day.
-Weekly quiz on Thursday
Science:
All about ECOSYSTEMS! We have learned about the components of a healthy ecosystem and how living and non-living things interact in a specific environment. This week, we will continue exploring the various adaptations animals have for survival, as well as learning about various endangered species.
Final Few Reminders…
Headphones:
Please make sure your child has headphones for the classroom. We use them daily when working on computers.
Disinfectant Wipes:
We are running low on wipes. If you would like to send any to your child’s homeroom, we would greatly appreciate it!
Clever Badges:
With the start of a new semester, students were given updated passwords for their computers and Clever accounts. QR codes for Clever logins were sent home previously in Friday Folders. There are instructions on the paper for accessing the site.
