Hello Families!
This upcoming week, The students will start learning about the continents. The students will identify 3D shapes and their characteristics. Please keep working with your student on their heart word book and return it on Thursdays. These are words the students should know by heart. Stay tuned for more updates!

Reminders:
-A peanut free snack and water bottle should be sent each day.
-We love celebrating birthdays! Students can celebrate at school by bringing in individually wrapped, prepackaged treats.

ELA: What makes the world fascinating?

-Read, enjoy, and analyze literary texts and visual art.
-Learn about Asia and Europe
-Learn about animals, things to do and natural features in Asia and Europe
-Write an opinion sentence about Asia and Europe
-Understand what is an opinion

MATH: 3D Shapes
-Recognize, describe, extend and create patterns
-Identify shapes as two-dimensional and solids as three deimensional
-Correctly name shapes and solids
-Describe similarities and differences between two and three dimensional shapes/solids in different sizes and orientations

Social/Emotional Learning (SEL)
-Demonstrate awareness and consideration of other people’s emotions, perspectives, and social cues
-Understand why we have rules and the importance of them
-Understand the importance of sharing and taking turns
-Understand how to learn from your mistakes and see how to improve
-Understand that what we think affects how we behave
