PTO Newsletter 10/4
Happy Fall Break y’all! It has been a great 1st quarter back to school and we hope everyone has a nice week off. When we return, it will be the countdown to wrap up INVEST! Help us meet our goals financially and with participation so we can continue to supplement our school with enriching programs that impact every student.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Walk to School day – we had a great turnout, a coffee table sponsored by parent and Realtor Anna Hollingsworth, and perfect weather for a stroll to school.
And we still have stars in our eyes over the incredible evening at Songs Under the Stars! Great food, songs and stories by a quartet of songwriters, perfect fall weather, and live painting by parent and artist Jess Peoples. Thank you all to the wonderful volunteers, vendors, and talent for a wonderful evening!

Remember if families participate by October 18, kids get a FREE FROZEN DRINK COUPON from Granny White Market. It is a great tradition that the kids love.
And finally – every class that gets 100% participation will be rewarded with an ICE CREAM PARTY in class. YUM!

Upcoming Community and Fundraiser Events
October 22: Family Skate Night
Help us raise money for Percy Priest Elementary PTO and enjoy a night of fun with our wonderful community. Brentwood Skate Center will give 50% of all admission fees on Tuesday, October 22 from 4:30-7:00 PM back to the PTO. These funds will be used to support the PTO budget which provides the school with additional supplies and staff. Thank you so much for your support, we can’t wait to see you there!
GrandFriends Days – Save the Date!
Our beloved GrandFriends Days tradition is coming soon. Help spread the word to loved ones so they can join us:

Parents, grandparents and special friends are welcome to eat lunch with students! To help us with space and accommodating guests, we ask that visitors sign-up to come eat lunch using the bookings link below. Please be sure to select the correct grade level and teacher. When signing-up, we also ask that you only sign-up for one day at this time. Thank you for your help and we hope to see you for lunch soon. Sign up to come eat lunch with your student!
