Ask your 2nd Grader:

  • What was life like for the Plains Indians in the early American West?
  • How did eastern Plains Indians live differently than western Plains Indians?
  • What does nomadic mean?
  • What are some words that have the /ae/ sound (long a)? What is the spelling of /ae/ in each word?
  • What are some words that have the /ie/ sound (long i)? What is the spelling of /ie/ in each word?
  • Is 40 tens greater than, less than, or equal to 4 hundreds? 
  • Is 60 tens greater than, less than, or equal to 650?
  • How does sound travel to our ears?

    • Essential Question: What was life like in the West for early Americans?

  • November 12th: Progress Reports Issued
  • November 25th-29th: No School (Thanksgiving Break)
  • December 3rd: Field Trip to the TN State Museum
  • December 6th: Navigator Day

 

Additional Information:

  • Our first second grade field trip will be on Tuesday, December 3rd. We are visiting the TN State Museum. Please be on the lookout for permission slips and payment information in the next few days.
