Hello Families!

We are moving right along in third grade! Some important dates are below:

This coming Friday, February 9th- Field Trip to Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. Please be on the lookout for a detailed email with further information shortly!

March 4th- Wax Museum presentations are due. Students will present for their classmates
March 6th- Wax Museum presentations for parents and school

ELA- We have begun prepping for TCAP. By the time April rolls around, students will be well prepared, as these books are formatted very much in a similar way of the state test. We are reading a book called “Coming to America.” This book focuses on when people started immigrating to America. We will sequence the events creating a timeline. From there, we will start reading stories and accounts of specific immigrants.

Math- We have been prepping for TCAP in math in the same fashion as we have with ELA. Next week we will also be finishing up with word problems and problem solving with the four operations and begin our fractions unit.

Science- We are continuing to work on the different types of clouds, weather patterns, and climate.
