3rd Grade News: 4/9
Dear families,
What a wonderful FULL week we’ve had! We have a lot going on here in Third Grade! Be on the lookout for information about the Wax Museum being sent home with your child today (Friday). This is an exciting Third Grade tradition that we are happy to continue this year. The project will be completed at home and is due May 12th. Please see the packet for more information.
TNReady/TCAP season is here! Here is the schedule of testing:
April 21st–ELA Part 1 (Writing)
April 22nd–ELA Part 2 and 3
April 26th–ELA Part 4 and Science
April 27th–Math Part 1 and 2
April 28th–Math Part 3
Finally, please be sure to send your teacher the TNReady encouragement pictures! We LOVE to share these with the kids. Remember, try to keep it a secret!
Here is what we’ll be up to next week:
- In ELA we’ll be digging deep into TNReady review. We’ll continue practicing writing prompts and work on reading comprehension. We’ll review grammar and work on listening skills.
- In Math we are working on mass. After we complete mass, we’ll begin our review of the year’s skills. Don’t forget to keep practicing those multiplication and division facts!
- Science will continue a review of the year with a focus on Weather, Water Cycle, and Natural Disasters.
