In addition to the goals below, students will be reviewing key concepts and strategies to help them feel confident and prepared for testing in April. We will be working through practice tests and writing prompts which will help reinforce what they have learned.

Math- We will begin exploring counting money! To master this skill, we will build on their knowledge of money from 2nd grade. We will identify the value of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, one-dollar bills, five-dollar bills, ten-dollar bills, twenty-dollar bills, and one-hundred-dollar bills.

ELA: We will review narrative, informational, and opinion writing. Students will practice reading and responding to prompts. In addition, we will review author’s purpose (PIE) and how it helps readers interpret writing in the way the author intended.
