Hello Families!
This upcoming week, students will continue learning about continents. Students will continue explore measurement. Please keep working with your student on their heart word book and return it on Thursdays. These are words the students should know by heart. Stay tuned for more updates!

Reminders:
-A peanut free snack and water bottle should be sent each day.
-We love celebrating birthdays! Students can celebrate at school by bringing in individually wrapped, prepackaged treats.
-May 3rd is Field Day
-May 17th is Kindergarten Farewell

ELA: What makes the world fascinating?
Students will…
-Read, enjoy, and analyze literary texts and visual art.
-Learn about South America and Australia
-Learn about animals, things to do and natural features in South America and Australia
-Write an opinion sentence about South America and Australia

MATH: Measurement
-Describe the measurable attributes of an object such as length, height, weight
-Compare two objects
-Describe which object has more of/less of the attribute
-Review addition and subtraction

Social/Emotional Learning (SEL)
-Demonstrate awareness and consideration of other people’s emotions, perspectives, and social cues
-Understand why we have rules and the importance of them
-Understand the importance of sharing and taking turns
-Understand how to learn from your mistakes and see how to improve
