PPE PTO Newsletter 4/4/25

We hope all of our Tiger Families are safe and sound from the storms and flooding yesterday. If your family is experiencing any damage or loss as a result of recent storms, please reach out to our school team and let us know if we can help.

While we wait for the promise of flowers from these showers weather forced us to cancel two of our Wizard of Oz performances, but we are thrilled to announce two make-up shows: Friday at 4:00 PM and Sunday at 6:00 PM. If you weren’t able to see our talented students shine on stage, this is your chance to experience the magic!

Speaking of magic, we are still riding the wave of excitement from Saturday’s Beach Ball fundraiser! A huge thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who made this event a smashing success. Thanks to your generosity, this year’s Silent and Live Auction broke records! It was incredible to see such strong community support, and we loved having so many parents involved. A special shoutout to John Vidalakis, who made his debut as our live auctioneer—hopefully, we’ll see him back in action next year!

Thank you, Tiger Families, for making PPE such a special place.

General Announcements

The time has come! The Percy Priest library will be moving to the new building soon! We need your help to get this process underway.

All library books are due now!

  • Search under beds, in closets, under car seats, in backpacks, in desks, or anywhere books tend to hide and return them as soon as possible.
  • Please check your student’s Friday folder for a detailed list of books that are still checked out. This list contains public library books as well. Look for the books labeled MNPS (not NPL) and return those to the PPE library.
  • If you think that you may have already returned the books listed, please check with Ms. Stuart.
  • Students may still use Limitless Library to order books from the Nashville Public Library to be delivered to PPE.

We have some classmates who want to practice open play and sports. There’s specific interest in baseball, if you have a glove and a softer ball! From a good ‘ole game of catch to parents connecting and catching up, join us on the playground on Sundays at 4pm! ALL are welcome!

Next C.A.R.E. coffee is Thursday, April 10th immediately after school drop offs. See you at the Green Hills Hilton coffee lounge (validated, onsite parking!)
