Principals Message: May 10-14
Hello Percy Priest families! This is Dr. Young with some important information about upcoming school events.
Our final PTO meeting of the year will be held this Tuesday, May 11th at 6PM. Our PTO will present information on the PTO budget and executive board nominees for next school year. Additionally, Ms. Stuart and Ms. Ramsey will present information on summer reading and programs to support summer learning. Please use this link to access the meeting.
Spring MAP testing will conclude this week. The MAP test is conducted in the fall, winter, and spring to measure student growth throughout the year. These results also provide teachers with important data on student progress. Families please encourage your student to put forth their best effort on these exams and please reach out to your student’s teacher with any questions about the MAP schedule.
Please mark your calendars for some exciting end of the year events at Percy Priest. Field day will be broken up by grade level this year. 4th grade and Kindergarten field day will be Thursday, May 20th and 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and 1st grade field day will be Friday, May 21st.
We are excited to be able to invite two guests per 4th grade student to an end of year ceremony on the front lawn on Monday, May 24th from 9:15-10:00.
This Friday, May 14th will be the final SSA day for the school year. For each of the final 7 days of school we will have a school-wide no SSA theme selected by our PTO auction winners. We will begin advertising these themes on announcements this week.

Families please continue to help us to stop the spread of Covid-19 by remembering the following:
· Before students leave for school, families should check them for symptoms of COVID-19. If your student or someone else at home has a temperature of 100.4 or above, new cough, shortness of breath, sudden loss of taste or smell, or other COVID-19 symptoms, you must keep them at home.
·All students and staff are required to wear masks throughout their day at school.
· To protect the safety of students and staff, no visitors, including parents or guardians, will be allowed into the school at this time.
