PTO Newsletter 10/18

Fall is definitely in the air in Nashville! The temperatures have cooled off a bit so don’t forget to layer the kiddos up in the morning with fluctuating temps from bus/carline to afternoon sunshine.

We really need your help to finish up our INVEST campaign STRONG. We have yet to meet our financial or participation goals and our school depends on everyone getting involved in order to bring enriching extra programs (like additional PE teachers) and enhancements (like special school supplies) to our school. INVEST truly impacts every student.

Let’s finish INVEST strong!

Many of your kiddos saw Percy onsite at school this week to help remind us that class ice cream parties are on the line! Show your support today and INVEST – with our without a monetary donation. Help us hit our 100% goal and support critical school functions. Every class that gets 100% participation will be rewarded with an ICE CREAM PARTY in class. YUM!

We have extended the participation deadline one more week! If families participate by October 25, kids get a FREE FROZEN DRINK COUPON from Granny White Market. It is a great tradition that the kids love.

General Announcements

JT Moore Theatre Workshop for Grades 3-5

Ahead of our upcoming performances, Moore Theatrics is inviting grades 3-5 to participate in a workshop inspired by Wendy & Peter Pan. This workshop is a great introduction to Ella Hickson’s version of J.M. Barrie’s much-loved story as she puts the character of Wendy firmly centre stage, in an adaptation that is refreshingly modern but never loses the charm of the original.

New volunteer opportunities are posted! Fall and winter brings new community events and other ways to help – get involved today! We encourage each parent or guardian to volunteer at least 1 hour per quarter. There are many ways to help, and we’re sure you’ll find something enjoyable.

Unicycle Donations

As you clean out your closets, please keep Unicycle in mind.  You can donate any too-small shorts, shirts, dresses and pants.  Remember, Unicycle collects and uses “outgrown, not worn out” school clothing to help cloth other MNPS students, we’re ready to receive them. The donation basket is located on the PPE Front porch.
