Happy November Tigers! We have had a great week with joyous harvest parties and the kick-off to the book fair. Let the fun times continue into next week when we welcome many grandparents and special friends to school for our beloved tradition of GrandFriends Days. There is still time to spread the word to Grandparents – see below for more information on RSVP process.

Upcoming Community and Fundraiser Events

November 7-8: GrandFriends Days!

Our annual GrandFriends Days are around the corner! Each morning will be spent listening to our children sing, a visit to their classroom and to the book fair in the library.  Spread the word to grandparents and special friends and help them RSVP.

Thursday, November 7th (grades K-2)
1st grade program starts at 9 am (check in begins at 8:30 am)
Kindergarten program starts at 10:15 am (check in begins at 9:45 am)
2nd grade program starts at 11:30 am (check in begins at 11 am)

Friday, November 8th (grades 3-5)
4th grade program starts at 9 am (check in begins at 8:30 am)
3rd grade program starts at 10:15 am (check in begins at 9:45 am)
5th grade program starts at 11:30 am (check in begins at 11 am)

To ensure a smooth check in, we ask that you RSVP to GrandFriendsPPE@gmail.com  by November 5th with the following information:
  • Name of grandfriend(s)
  • Name of student(s)
  • Name of teacher(s)
  • Grade of child(ren)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are also still needing more volunteers to help during the program. If you would like to lend a hand, please sign up here!


 

November 7: C.A.R.E. Meeting

November C.A.R.E. Meeting | 6:00 at PPE | Your questions answered by a panel of local professionals. Head over to the C.A.R.E. blog for more details, panel bios and link to submit your anonymous questions & comments. We need your input!

Did you know that our school has a free Online Art Gallery? How delightful is it to receive and email with your favorite Percy Priest Artist’s artwork in it? Well, I can tell you that it is pretty awesome! You may be a parent of one of the 254 students who are not registered and connected to Artsonia.com, our school’s amazing online art gallery! Registration is free and you only have to register once for each artist…ever. That’s right, not every year but just once for each of your Tigers! Once you are registered you will have access to your artist’s digital portfolio of every artwork they have created at Percy Priest Elementary School! Plus, Artsonia.com has a gift shop with high quality products featuring your favorite artist’s work, an excellent resource for the upcoming gift-giving season. November 4: Green Hills Grille Spirit Night
Take the stress out of dinner Monday night! Join us for Green Hills Grille Spirit Night either before or after Book Fair Family Night where 10% of all dine-in, takeout or delivery orders will be donated back to the PTO. Monday, November 4th from 4 pm-9 pm. No promo code needed!

Pre-order your festive wreaths now through Nov 17!
Get ready for the upcoming holiday season by ordering your pre-decorated custom Fraser fir wreath or classic Fraser fir wreath today! Orders can be placed at the links below. Deadline to order is Sunday, November 17th. Pick up is at the Forest Hills Pathway (on Otter Creek right down from the school) from 2:30PM to 4PM on Friday, November 22nd. If you are unable to pick up that day during that timeframe please email marcy.stringfield@gmail.com to make alternate arrangements.

Flower Power

It’s time to order your holiday flower bulbs! We are partnering with Flower Power to sell beautiful amaryllis and paperwhites.  These flower bulbs are all top quality, an excellent value and guaranteed to grow. Parents, grandparents and special friends are welcome to eat lunch with students! To help us with space and accommodating guests, we ask that visitors sign-up to come eat lunch using the bookings link below. Please be sure to select the correct grade level and teacher. When signing-up, we also ask that you only sign-up for one day at this time. Thank you for your help and we hope to see you for lunch soon. Sign up to come eat lunch with your student!

You can subscribe to our PTO calendar and have all of our events show up on your calendar, so you never lose track of important dates!
