Please continue to check our calendar and stay in touch with our newsletter. We have a lot of fun events coming your way this Spring!

General Announcements
Mrs. Baxter (and her friend Kelso the Frog) have been visiting Kindergarten and 2nd grade classrooms introducing Kelso’s Choices. Students have learned that they are strong enough and smart enough to handle “small problems” with friends and classmates. They can try 2 choices from Kelso’s wheel before asking an adult for help. This is a great strategy to use at home when kids have minor disagreements with siblings or neighbors!
Ms. K-B has enjoyed talking about choices and second chances while reading “Oh No, George!” by Chris Haughton.
Counselor’s Corner – Percy Priest Elementary
Green Tip from the Green Team
Did you get flowers for Valentine’s Day? Consider these two sustainable options. (1) Dry your flowers and save them as a constant reminder of someone’s appreciation of you.Simply tie the stems together with some string and let them hang upside down for two weeks. (2) Compost your flowers. Keep your special gift out of a landfill by composting them in your backyard or by taking them to any of Metro Nashville’s Convenience Centers Tuesday-Saturday from 8:30am – 4:30pm for free composting.
