PTO Newsletter 9/27

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the Topping Out Ceremony and Fall Event last week. What a great time celebrating the memories we have built while getting excited about the future to come in our new building! Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who made this event possible. Finally, thank you to American Constructors who helped get us to this milestone and pull off a great ceremony!

Mum pick-up is today!
Did you order pumpkins and mums? Pick up is at the Forest Hills Pathway (on Otter Creek right down from the school) from 2PM to 4PM on Friday, September 27th. If you are unable to pick up during that timeframe please email marcy.stringfield@gmail.com to make alternate arrangements.

INVEST UPDATE… Participate by October 18th!

Don’t forget to INVEST! While striving to meet our donation goal, remember that pledging to support (without a monetary donation) also hits the participation target as well. We would love to see 100% participation and we know we can do it! You can find more information on INVEST here.

Remember if families participate by October 18, kids get a FREE FROZEN DRINK COUPON from Granny White Market. It is a great tradition that the kids love.

And finally – every class that gets 100% participation will be rewarded with an ICE CREAM PARTY in class. YUM!

October 2: Walk to School Day

Walk to School Day will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd.  This is a city-wide event coordinated by Walk Bike Nashville.  Families are invited to join us on the pathway at the corner of Otter Creek and Robert E. Lee at 7:30AM.  We will walk together as a group along the pathway to the school.  Please mark your calendars for this fun community event! We have some neighbors offering parking in their driveways/yards. Look for balloons and helpers to show you where to park: 1516 Otter Creek Rd / 1520 Otter Creek Rd / 1449 Otter Creek Rd

Songs Under the Stars – last chance for tickets!

Exciting news! We have a songwriter switch-up! While Jaren Johnston can no longer join us, we are thrilled to welcome Jonathan Singleton to the stage alongside Sasha Alex Sloan, Austin Jenckes and Charlie Worsham. With only a few tickets remaining this is your last chance to join us for this unforgettable night!

Teacher tickets are still available at a discounted price thanks to Camel Car Wash and Pretty Polished! Grab one today!

Callout for Volunteers for Songwriters Night!

We are in need of a few extra supplies and possibly some standby runners to help us on October 2nd. Please take a look at the signup and fill in if you are able! We will be in touch with a contact point for specific item drop offs or pickups.

October 22: Family Skate Night

Help us raise money for Percy Priest Elementary PTO and enjoy a night of fun with our wonderful community. Brentwood Skate Center will give 50% of all admission fees on Tuesday, October 22 from 4:30-7:00 PM back to the PTO. These funds will be used to support the PTO budget which provides the school with additional supplies and staff. Thank you so much for your support, we can’t wait to see you there!
